A self-proclaimed workaholic, Karen discovered that yoga provided a relief from the daily grind and helped her gain a new found belief in herself. She bounced around from yoga class to yoga class for about 10 years until in 2009 a horrible hand injury prevented her from practicing. It took a year of painful occupational therapy to get the use of her hand back and another three years before she could practice yoga again. Once she returned to the mat in 2013 she never looked back. Starting over was difficult but it renewed her love for yoga and the respect for the physical body to heal and rebuild. In 2016, at the age of 44, she joined yoga teacher training at YogaWorks. This transformative experience led her to find the strength to leave the corporate world and start her own business. Through first hand experience she knew that the healing powers of yoga could open up a new life for its practitioners and was eager to share this with others. She also knew upon graduation that Restorative Yoga would be her path into the healing world. Discovering Breathwork shortly thereafter, gave Karen the courage to tap into self-love, empowerment, and to fully commit to not only being a healer, but to all of her passions as well. This has led to learning more about energy healing through Reiki training. Outside of the studio, Karen finds even more meditation in sewing, knitting, and hunting for vintage fashion.
